Cayman Turns 4 Weeks Old!
The breeder finally sent me some updated pics of my little man. She says he is quite a good boy, very friendly, and quite a "talker"! Isn't he the cutest?!

Pick of the Litter
GOOD NEWS! We finally decided on our puppy! We have been in the process of looking for a miniature dachshund for sometime now, and finally found a breeder not too far from us that breeds longhaired and shorthaired miniature dachshunds. We were originally on a waiting list for a black and tan longhaired male from a litter that was born today, May 14th but instead decided on a cream colored longhaired male from a litter born April 19th. This meant we would be able to get a puppy that much sooner and besides, he was soooo cute, we could not resist.
Here is the picture that sold us on getting this particular puppy. He is one week old in this picture (taken April 26, 2008). Can you see the little white spot on his forehead? That's what I call his "angel kiss"- its where the angels kissed him before sending him to earth! LOL!

Puppy Fever
I am just like an expectant mother waiting on the arrival of my miniature dachshund puppy. Today I placed an order with PetEdge.com for some stainless steel bowls, a dog bed in blue for our new puppy and one in pink for Zoey, our toy poodle, a squeaky dog toy, and a leash, collar and harness in “Malibu Blue”. I have looked everywhere for a collar and leash set in my favorite color, aqua, and this was the closest I could find. Now I just need my “wittleman” to put him in them!
