Photobucket Photobucket Therapy dogs spread happiness, love, and cheer to people who otherwise might be lonely, sad or slow to heal. This is the journey of Cayman, a longhair miniature dachshund and his journey and experiences visiting becoming a therapy dog.

Did you know that pet visits often spark good memories of a person's own pets? Dogs often can reach people and children who have withdrawn from the world. It's been suggested by science that petting a dog can lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety and stress, and promote healing.

Thanks Augie Ray!

So as you may already know from a previous post, I am wishing for a pet stroller to assist me with Cayman when we are visiting the nursing home doing animal assisted therapy. A wonderful gentleman read my post and pointed me in the direction of his site that sells them for less then the site I had originally seen them. He has the same pet stroller (Pet Gear Ultralight) available for $73.99 ( which is including free shipping in Continential U.S!!!) at JustPetStrollers.com: http://justpetstrollers.com/pet_gear_ultralight_pet_stroller.html

So there you go, Hubby, if you are reading this.... LOL!

Thanks Augie Ray! (Be sure to click on his name to go to his blog which is dedicated to providing tips and information to pet lovers about Pet Strollers.)

We love our doggie stroller. Heidi, my handicapped doxie, can come for walks with us. Valentin, my fear aggression boy, can be safely transported. We have the 3 wheeled jogging version; for the extra space for two, plus better handling in snow.

We add a warm Comfort Bear in winter (from Dog E Designs) to keep Heidi warm. Zip up the storm cover and she is toasty warm. I can't tell you how many people think I have a child in the stroller (until it barks at them)

Wonderful site, great info. Different styles of strollers fit different needs.
